AS Roma manager Jose Mourinho has been handed a two-match ban and a €10,000 fine for his outburst towards a fourth official during Roma’s 2-1 loss to Cremonese on Tuesday evening.
Mourinho was dismissed by referee Marco Piccinini after the altercation with fourth official Marco Serra and was forced to watch the remainder of the match from the stands.

“For having contested a refereeing decision in a forceful and provocative manner in the second minute of the second half and repeating this behavior at the time of the sending-off.
“Furthermore, for entering the referees’ dressing room and addressing the fourth official with offensive expressions and inferences at the end of the match,” a statement from Serie A portal noted on Wednesday.
It was the Portuguese third red card of the season and the league says he has now been punished after entering the referee’s dressing room and using “offensive expressions” after the match.
Mourinho is now banned for Roma’s game against Juventus this weekend and alluded to the fact Serra is from Turin. As well as the weekend’s visit to Juventus, Mourinho will also miss a game against Sassuolo.
