The win sees Nigeria qualify for next edition of the FIFA U-20 World Cup set for Indonesia; the difference in the game coming courtesy of an own goal from defender Ibrahim Juma at the half hour mark.

Uganda’s elimination now leaves South Sudan as the only representative of the CECAFA region with the Bright Stars scheduled to face The Gambia on Friday night in the third quarter-final match.
Going into the knockout stage, coach Peter James’ team will be all out to prove a point against an on-form Gambia team at the Haras El Hood Stadium in Alexandria.
The East Africa youngest nation made it to the quarter-final South Sudan after finishing third in the group with 4 points after picking a win against The Central African Republic, a draw against Uganda and a loss to Congo Brazzaville, while The Gambia picked maximum points against Tunisia, Zambia and Benin.
