Juventus will not have midfielder Paul Pogba for their Serie A tie against Sampdoria after it emerged that the player had picked another injury.

Pogba was expected to start the Sunday game owing to Federico Chiesa and Angel di Maria injuries but Sky Italia claims that the Frenchman has picked up a muscle injury and has not been called for the game against Dejan Stankovic’s side later today.

The former Manchester United player is said to have trained on Sunday morning but felt something in his muscle and pulled up when he was about to finish training. As a result, the decision has been made to exclude him from the squad for today’s game.

The player has only made two substitute appearances for his side since his summer move and was not part of the squad for the Europa League clash against Freiburg as he had arrived late for training.
