Liverpool was eliminated from the UEFA Champions League following a 1-0 loss to Real Madrid on Wednesday night with the all important goal scored by Karim Benzema.
The result at the Santiago Bernabeu completed a 6-2 aggregate victory for Carlo Ancelotti’s side in the round of 16 after beating the Red 5-2 in the first leg.
Liverpool rarely looked like salvaging the tie and their elimination was confirmed when Benzema scored from close range after being teed up by Vinicius Junior.
