Harambee Stars new call up Daniel Anyembe has expressed his delight in being called by head coach Engin Firat to the Kenya men’s national football team.
Anyembe was one of the two new players called by Firat ahead of this month’s friendly with Iran and according to the player in an interview with his club, he was already looking forward to joining the rest of his new teammates.

“It will be exciting and it is of course a great opportunity that I am looking forward to. I am proud to be selected for the A national team, so now I am looking forward to it hopefully being a great experience,” the defender said.
The right-back had featured for the junior national teams for Denmark but seems to have changed his allegiance with a national team call-up having not been forthcoming from the Danes. He qualifies to feature for Kenya through his dad who is a Kenyan even though he was born and raised in Denmark where his mother comes from.
