Multiple UK news media sources report that Sheikh Jassim ‘remains confident’ that his debt-free world record offer is the best proposal on the table but does face stiff competition from Ratcliffe’s INEOS group.
The reports indicate that both bids are believed to be in the £5 billion range, with each party believing that they are the only two who are interested in a full takeover rather than purchasing a partial stake in the Red Devils.
