Patrick Kaddu reminded everyone why he was once a consistent figure in the Uganda Cranes national team by netting a hat trick in his Gor Mahia debut as his team emerged 5-0 winners over Vihiga Bullets on Wednesday.
Mahia were looking to consolidate their lead at the top of the table and knew that a tie against bottom-placed Bullets was the perfect outing they needed after dropping points against KCB in their last outing.

After their transfer embargo was lifted, coach Johnny Mckinstry gave starts to three of his new signing in the window Sylvester Owino, Kaddu himself and Shafiq Kagimu. They wasted no time in reminding Bullets of their potential with Austin Odhiambo and Peter Lwasa giving the hosts a 2-0 lead in a span of five minutes; the goals being the difference in the first half after which Kaddu took the scoring duties.
The Ugandan was to score a third ten minutes after the resumption and completed his hattrick by the 79th minute in a game that also saw Rwandese defender Emery Bayisenge make his debut late on.
