Romelu Lukaku was sent off as Inter Milan came from a goal behind to hold rivals Juventus to a 1-1 draw in a heated Coppa Italia semi-final first leg stalemate.

Despite defending champions Inter enjoying the lion’s share of chances in the earlier exchanges, hosts Juve were to up the tempo in the second half and were to take the lead seven minutes from time when Juan Cuadrado swept a close-range finish.

Drama was however left for the closing stages of the game with snatched an equaliser from the penalty spot in the fourth minute of added time through Lukaku after a handball by Bremer before his overenthusiastic celebration delivered a second booking, which rules him out of the return leg.

The celebrations sparked an ugly confrontation after the final whistle as Cuadrado and Handanović also received their retrospective marching orders with straight red cards.
