The Bundesliga title race is getting enticing after Borussia Dortmund went on the top of the standings following Bayern Munich’s loss early on Saturday.
In a packed Signal Iduna Park, Dortmund ran 4-0 winners over Frankfurt in a one-sided affair. Jude Bellingham gave the hosts a 19th-minute lead before a rising Karim Adeyemi header flicked the ball toward Donyell Malen five minutes later for 2-0.
After some defensive heroics for the hosts, Mats Hummels joined in on the celebrations up top as his header added some insurance for 3-0 just before the break. An in-form Malen later secured his brace after the break to make eight goal contributions in five games (six goals, two assists) to put the game out of reach.

The result means Dortmund hold a one-point lead over Bayern who lost 3-1 to Mainz earlier on in the day.
Sadio Mané broke his scoring duck in the first half for the visitors, but Thomas Tuchel’s side collapsed as Mainz came from behind to win in the second half. Bayern was dealt an early blow when Alphonso Davies was forced off with a hamstring injury after just eight minutes.
The hosts did draw level in the 65th minute. Lee Jae-sung’s shot was parried by Bayern goalkeeper Jan Sommer, and Ludovic Ajorque was in the perfect place to head home the rebound. Leandro Barreiro finished in off the post as Mainz took the lead and were not done yet by adding a third four minutes later when Aarón Martín’s cross-cum-shot evaded everybody including Sommer and nestled into the bottom corner.
