It was a good Saturday for Kenyans abroad as both Henry Meja and defender Frank Odhiambo scored for their respective teams.

Meja grabbed a brace as Norrby ran 3-0 winners over Torns in a Swedish Ettan game staged at the Tornvallen Stadium. The Kenyan opened the scoring proceedings in the 15th minute for a 1-0 score for his team at the break. And while teammate Wede added a second in the 54th minute, he was to make the points safe with his brace in the 90th minute.

Still in Ettan, Frank Odhiambo’s goal in stoppage time proved to be just a mere consolation for Vasalund IF who went down 2-1 away to Sollentuna. The loss leaves Vasalund placed third from bottom after 4 games having only won one game since the start of the season.

In China, Ayub Timbe made his long-awaited debut for Nanjing City as he amassed the full minutes in the club’s 2-0 win over Heilongjiang Ice City in the Chinese League One in their opening game of the season.

It was another full minute for striker Alfred Scriven whose IF Hodd side were held to a 1-1 draw against Asane in the Norwegian Division One game as Joash Onyango managed the full minutes as Simba SC beat Wydad Casablanca 1-0 in the first leg of the CAF Champions League quarterfinals.
