Young Africans SC are the 2022/23 Tanzania Premier League champions following their 4-2 win over Dodoma Jiji on Saturday.
It is their 29 league title in their history with the win having been made sumptuous after scoring two late goals away from home.
Zambian forward Kennedy Musonda opened the scoresheet in the 39th minute but hosts Dodoma restored parity through Salmin Hoza. The hosts were to take the lead in the 67th minute through Seif Karihe but Mudathir Yahya Abbas leveled matters minutes later. Farid Mussa then put Yanga in the lead three minutes from time before Mudathir ensured the title was heading home with a goal in stoppage time. The result meant they win the title for the second season running with two games to go.
