Lionel Messi will not be moving back to Barcelona but instead, going to Major League Soccer side Inter Miami.
There had been reports that the Argentine would be heading back to Camp Nou after failing to sign a new deal with PSG with other tabloids linking him with Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia but speaking to SPORT and Mundo Deportivo, Messi made things clear.
“I will not return to Barcelona, I will join Inter Miami. I made the decision to go to Miami. I still haven’t closed it 100% and there are some things missing, but well, we decided to continue the journey there.

“The truth is that I had offers from another European team, but I didn’t even evaluate them because in Europe my idea was only to go to Barcelona. After winning the World Cup and not being able to go to Barça, I had to go to the American league to experience football in a different way and enjoy the day to day,” he said.
Messi was at PSG for two seasons but admitted in the interview that things didn’t go well for him more so in the first season as he didn’t have a good time with his family something he had to consider when making his next move.
