English giants Manchester United will launch a bid for Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund in the coming days.

The Telegraph reports that getting a striker is one of the top priorities for Erik ten Hag and the Dutchman has settled on Hojlund as he tried to relieve the scoring burden from Marcus Rashford.

United had hoped to get Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane this summer but his club have priced him away from Premier League clubs; the striker is currently being linked with a move to Bayern Munich.

The 20-year-old had a breakthrough season with Atalanta last season where he scored nine times in 32 league games for La Dea. But his performances for Denmark in the European Championship qualifiers further solidified his credentials as one of the finest young strikers in Europe.

His valuation has also skyrocketed with Atalanta, fully aware of the rising interest in their striker, demanding an eye-watering €100 million to part ways with the youngster this summer.

Apart from the Danish, United are also in talks to sign Andre Onana from Inter Milan as a replacement for David De Gea, who has left the club after seeing out his contract; the club having already signed Mason Mount from Chelsea FC.
