Gor Mahia will begin their FKF Premier League title defence with a tie against Sofapaka FC in a venue to be communicated soon.

In a draft released by Football Kenya Federation on Thursday, the 2023/24 league season will kick off on 26th August 2023 with newbies Shabana FC traveling to Nairobi to take on Kariobangi Sharks who had a dismal season in the last campaign.

On the 26th, apart from Gor and Shabana, Kakamega Homeboyz will be hosting KCB at the Bukhungu Grounds, Bandari will at their Mbaraki backyard to take on Tusker FC with Nzoia Sugar FC, who are in search of a new coach after the departure of Salim Babu, will be hosting Ulinzi Stars at Sudi Grounds.

In the next day, the playoff winners between Wazito FC and Migori Youth will have a date with Nairobi City Stars with coach less AFC Leopards hosting Ken Kenyatta’s FC Talanta in Nairobi. Posta Rangers will be up against Bidco United with Kenya Police, who have been the busiest club in the window hosting newbies Murang’a Seal.
