Cristiano Ronaldo has claimed that the Saudi Arabian League is better than the Major League Soccer just days after Lionel Messi complete his move to Inter Miami.

Ronaldo mutually terminated his Manchester United contract to join Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Nassr in January but has seen many stars across Europe join him in the Middle East country; the attacker now claiming that he has influenced most people to move there.

“The Saudi League is better than the MLS,” Ronaldo said (as per Diario Ole). “I’m 100 percent sure I won’t return to any European club. I opened the way to the Saudi League and now all the players are coming here.”

His comments came after Messi was unveiled with his new club shirt during Sunday’s ceremony after he opted to join the MLS outfit in a highly lucrative deal earlier this summer.

Ronaldo further claimed that football in Europe had diminished and only the Premier League was worth its salt; the player claiming that the Serie A was dead before he arrived and revived it.

Several other high-profile players, including Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante and Kalidou Koulibaly, have since followed the Portuguese star to the Saudi League. Others are Edouard Mendy, Marcelo Brozovic, Roberto Firmino, Ruben Neves and Jota.
