Kenya’s Harambee Stars will be up against Seychelles on Monday in a World Cup Qualifiers in Ivory Coast.
After going 2-1 down to Gabon in their opening game, the Stars are looking to bounce back immediately against one of the weakest opponents in the group. But how have these teams fared before?

The two teams first met in the CECAFA competition where Seychelles was a guest team. It was on 18th November 1992 with Kenya emerging 2-1 winners in the contest; Abbas Magongo being one of the goal scorers on the day.
The second game was staged on 6th June 1998 in a friendly where both side settled for a scoreless draw but Kenya emerged 1-0 winners over the same opponents in the reverse friendly staged a week later.
The first real test between the sides was in a World Cup Qualifiers in 2011 where Kenya emerged as 7-0 aggregate winners. In the first clash staged on 11th November that year, Dennis Oliech bagged a brace with defender Pascal Ochieng scoring the other when the team was under the tutelage of Francis Kimanzi. Oliech was to score again in the reverse fixture staged in Nairobi in a clash that had Victor Wanyama, Brian Mandela, and Titus Mulama as the other scorers.
The last meeting between the two came on 28th May 2015 where Bobby Williamson led Kenya to a 2-0 win.
