Manchester United might part ways with ten players in the short January 2024 window as they aim to rejig the squad.
The English giants have endured a difficult start to the new season and have lost nine of their opening 18 games in all competitions, a run of poor form which leaves the Red Devils sixth in the Premier League table and bottom of their Champions League group.
According to Manchester Evening News, up to 10 players could depart, with Jadon Sancho among the most high-profile after being exiled this season. Others earmarked for departure are Donny van de Beek, Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, Raphael Varane, Casemiro, Christian Eriksen, and Anthony Martial.
The departure of Lindelof, Maguire, and Varane could be necessitated by the club’s want of a new center back with the latter having fallen down the pecking order owing to his constant injuries.
Jonny Evans, Brandon Williams, Tom Heaton, and Alvaro Fernandez could all leave, while Sofyan Amrabat’s form will need to improve if his loan spell from Fiorentina is to be made permanent.
