Tanzania giants Yanga SC started their CAF Champions League Group D campaign with a 3-0 loss to CR Belouizdad in Algeria on Friday night.
Raouf Benguit gave the hosts a 10th minute lead with Abderrahmane Meziane doubling their tally in additional minutes of the first half before Lamin Jallow made the points safe with a goal late on.

In another game of the night, Pyramids FC beat Congolese powerhouse TP Mazembe 1-0 at the June 30 Stadium in Egypt.
After a goalless draw in the first half, South African forward Fagrie Lakay scored the game’s only goal in the 54th minute with a crisp finish from the left side to give the home team the lead.
The win will be a boost for the Egyptian side who are in a tricky group that has newly crowned African Football League winners Mamelodi Sundowns and Mauritanian champions Nouadhibou who meet on Sunday.
Mazembe’s headache doesn’t end as they will be up against Sundowns next weekend, while Pyramids travel to Nouadhibou, Mauritania. Both games take occur on Saturday, December 02.
