Harambee Stars captain Michael Olunga grabbed a brace as Al Duhail beat Istiklol 2-0 in an AFC Champions League game staged on Monday evening.

After a goalless first half, Olunga gave Duhail the lead two minutes after resumption before ensuring the points were safe with his and the club’s second a minute from time.

With the win, Duhail moves to third in Group E with four points with Istiklol now placed bottom with two points. Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr leads the group with 13 points with Persepolis currently on 7 points.

Duhail will be up against Persepolis in their next group game in a fortnight but will have to turn their attention to the league where they have a date against Umm Salal on the first day of December.

In another game involving a Star player on Monday night, Alfred Scriven managed to play in the entire game as IF hodd were beaten 3-0 by Lyn in the Norwegian Play-offs 2/3.
