Sevilla defender Sergio Ramos placed his name in the UEFA Champions League history books after netting for his club in the competition on Wednesday.
The legendary defender received a 29th-career red card for Sevilla during their LaLiga defeat to Real Sociedad on Sunday, but turned the tide around when his side’s 2-3 loss to PSV on Wednesday.
By scoring the opener in the game, Ramos scored the 10,000th goal ever scored in the competition (since it rebranded as the Champions League in 1992), with Club Brugge’s Daniel Amokachi bagging the first during that year.
That strike also means no defenders have scored more than Ramos in the competition, with his 16th goal levelling him with Roberto Carlos and Gerard Piqué.
