Four Premier league clubs were in action on Tuesday night as the FA Cup third-round replays took place.

West Ham were shocked by Bristol City who beat them 1-0 in the night. The Robins were unfortunate to only draw in east London 10 days ago but came into this game having not won in three games in the Championship.

Liam Manning’s side stunned the Hammers just four minutes in as Tommy Conway scored for the second game in succession against David Moyes’ side as he rounded the goalkeeper and tapped in.

Things got more difficult for the Premier League side early in the second half as Saïd Benrahma was given his marching orders after kicking out Joe Williams. Even with 10 men though West Ham pushed for an equalizer as Danny Ings’ first-time effort forced a brilliant save from Max O’Leary.

In another game of the night, Wolves needed a Matheus Cunha penalty in extra time to beat Brentford 3-2 at Molineux. The first fixture between these two ended in a 1-1 draw with Wolves set to take West Brom in the fourth round.

It didn’t take long for Brentford to take the lead as Wolves old boy Nathan Collins struck against his former side on 13 minutes but Semedo drew Wolves leveled. Into the second half and the Bees took the lead just after the break as Neal Maupay’s effort was initially given as offside but that decision was eventually overruled by VAR.

Nathan Fraser put the hosts level for the second time again in the game to send the game into extra time where Wolves went ahead for the first time as Matheus Cunha dispatched from the spot at the stroke of half time.
