Kenya U18 midfielder Stanley Wilson is in Sweden to attend trials with the country’s top-tier side AIK.
Wilson has been one of the brightest young talents in Kenya currently and had at one point been called to train with the national team Harambee Stars by head coach Engin Firat.

He was a key player as Kenya U18 finished as runners-up in the last edition of the CECAFA U18 Tournament held in Kisumu, Kenya.
Confirming the arrival of the player, AIK’s sporting director Thomas Berntsen said: “Stanley Wilson is a talented central midfielder who works hard and AIK Football’s scouting team has seen him in place down in Kenya a couple of months ago. Stanley will go with the team to Marbella so that we can see him up close in our business.”
Stanley has been in the books of FKF Premier League side Kariobangi Sharks since the start of the season after joining from Darajani Gogo.
During the national team break in September 2023, he was called up to the Kenyan national team by Engin Fırat and was on the bench when Kenya went 0-1 to South Sudan in a friendly game that month.
He will now join AIK preseason camp in Marbella, Spain on Monday 29 January 2024 where they will be until Saturday 10 February 2024. The team is scheduled to take on FK TSC Backa Topola and Sarpsborg; the Kenyan will be joined by Liberian Emmanuel Gono who is also on trials with the club.
