Barcelona starlet Lamine Yamal etched his name ever further into the history books of European football after featuring in Barcelona’s loss to PSG on Tuesday night.

After heading into proceedings in possession of a slender advantage owing to a 3-2 triumph at the Parc des Princes last week, the Blaugrana went on to extend their aggregate lead inside the opening quarter of an hour at Montjuïc.

Fresh off a match-winning brace in the first leg, Raphinha proved himself decisive once more, in slotting home at Gianluigi Donnarumma’s front post.

The majority of the plaudits, though, went to attacking partner in crime Lamine Yamal. This came after the Spaniard left Nuno Mendes for dead with a surging run, before laying on a perfect assist.

With the assist, at 16 years and 278 days old, Yamal became the youngest player to provide an assist in a knockout match in the ENTIRE history of the UEFA Champions League.’

He was however hooked from proceedings owing to a reshuffle in Barcelona’s XI in the aftermath of Ronald Araújo’s red card, but the Blaugrana sensation, nevertheless, has secured for himself a piece of history.
