Rangers finally got their clash with Dundee played at the third time of asking, but will almost be wishing they hadn’t after a slow 0-0 draw saw the SPL title all but leave their hands.

Philippe Clement’s side headed into the game five points behind rivals Celtic, but with two games in hand having seen their tie against Dundee postponed on two separate occasions.

But despite racking up 17 shots, they could manage just five on target and never really looked like finding the back of the net.

The result means that even if Rangers were to win their game in hand on their Glasgow rivals, they would still need Celtic to slip up to have any chance of becoming champions.

Having taken five points from their last possible 15, it seems more likely Rangers leave more points on the table than their title-challenging counterparts in the coming weeks.
