Harambee Stars midfielder Eric Johanna Omondi played in the entire game as UTA Arad were held to a 1-1 draw by Petrolul 52 in a Romania Liga 1 game staged on Monday night.
Hosts Petrolul took an 11th-minute lead through Grozav and were headed for a win until UTA restored parity seven minutes from time through Micovschi with the goal earning the visitors a point.

The draw saw UTA maintain their third place in the country’s top-flight league with 28 points, two points below leaders Otelul. Petrolul are fifth, two points behind UTA. Omondi and the team will be hoping for a better outing in their next outing when they host leaders Otelul on Thursday.
In Sweden, winger Timothy Noor Ouma was left on the bench as IF Elfsborg went 1-2 down to Kalmar in the Allsvenskan. Kalmar took a half-time lead through Islamovic but Elfsborg restored parity two minutes after resumption via Hedlund. Skrabb however restored Kalmar’s lead in the 55th minute with a goal that proved to be the winner.
The loss leaves Elfsborg placed 11th with four points after four games with the win, which was the first for Kalmar this season, seeing them in 15th position.
Ouma has only managed 14 minutes this season in the top flight having appeared against Vasteras; the only game they’ve only won this season.
