The UNFP Awards was held this Monday night at Paris’ Pavillon d’Armenonville to celebrate the achievements of France’s very best football players.
Mbappe has won a record fifth consecutive UNFP Ligue 1 Player of the Season trophy. No player has won more than him. In his final season in Ligue One, he led the league’s goalscoring charts with 27 goals to his name and was the driving force for Les Parisiens’ latest league title.
The UNFP Awards rewarded Stade Brestois’ odds-defying Ligue 1 season in rewarding Eric Roy as the Manager of the Year. For the second time since 2016, Atlético de Madrid playmaker Antoine Griezmann has been lauded as the Best French player abroad, beating the likes of Arsenal’s William Saliba or Real Madrid’s Aurélien Tchouaméni.
