Harambee Stars striker Jonah Ayunga managed to play the entire game and provide an assist as St. Mirren beat Valur 4-1 to make it to the third qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League.
Goals from Shaun Rooney, Toyosi Olusanya, Mark O’Hara and Alex Iacovitti did the trick for the Scottish side after holding their Thursday opponents to a goalless draw in the first leg staged last week.

Rooney had given the hosts a 1-0 lead at the break with the second coming in the second half in the 52nd minute. Ayunga won his header and flicked on for Idowu who unselfishly rolled into the path of Olusanya who rolled the ball in the empty net.
The third goal would come on 65 minutes with Ayunga playing his part in what was a stunning goal. He laid the ball for skipper O’Hara who scored a beautiful volley that flew into the top corner of the net.
Valur pulled a goal back with 15 minutes remaining when Haraldsson scored from the penalty spot but the host would have the final say with debutant Iacovitti scoring on 87 minutes to round off a wonderful night in Paisley that will be sure to live long in the memory.
The win sees St. Mirren book a date with Norwegian side SK Brann next week in the Third Qualifying Round.
