Five Kenyan match officials were appointed to officiate in the first leg of the 2024/25 CAF Confederation Cup’s first preliminary rounds being played across Africa.

On August 16, 2024, Francis Oliele served as the Match Commissioner for the match between Jamus FC (South Sudan) and Stade Tunisien (Tunisia), held at Juba Stadium in South Sudan.

Solomon Too Kaptingei was selected as the Match Commissioner for the CAF Champions League match on August 17, 2024, between Vital’O FC (Burundi) and Young Africans (Tanzania).

In another significant appointment, Dickens Mimisa took charge as the Center Referee for the match between Nsingizini Hotspurs FC (Eswatini) and Stellenbosch FC (South Africa) on August 17, 2024. The match, set to be played at Durban’s Moses Mabhida Stadium in South Africa, also saw Samuel Kuria and Oliver Omondi assisting as the First and Second Assistant Referees, respectively. Kelvin Maina supported the officiating team as the Fourth Official.

In the ongoing CAF Champions League, Peter Kamaku officiated as the Center Referee for the match between AS Maniema Union (DR Congo) and Ngezi Platinum Stars FC (Zimbabwe) set for August 25, 2024. He was supported by Gilbert Cheruiyot as the First Assistant Referee, Adam Nyongesa as the Second Assistant Referee, and Israel Mpaima as the Fourth Official

Continuing the trend, Peter Kamaku has been selected as the Center Referee for the Liberia vs. Algeria 2025 AFCON Qualifiers, scheduled for September 10, 2024. He will be assisted by Gilbert Cheruiyot as the First Assistant Referee and Samuel Kuria as the Second Assistant Referee, with Dickens Mimisa serving as the Fourth Official.
