Winger Timothy Ouma is currently not in the Harambee Stars camp ahead of their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers against Namibia.
The player had been called up to the national team by head coach Engin Firat for duties against Zimbabwe and Namibia and despite being released by his club AIK, the player hasn’t joined his teammates with many fans asking about his whereabouts.
Pepeta has since learnt that the player remained back in Sweden with the hope of sealing a deal with an unnamed Serie A club but his club refused to accept an offer of close to SEK 60 million (Approx sh 744M) to allow him to make a move.

Ouma has started the season brightly and there is a feeling by his club that with his age and the outing he’s had, he should fetch them more money owing the length of his contract at the club which ends in December 2026.
The refusal not to sell Ouma has seen the player react with anger by failing to show up for the national team and for his club with reports indicating that he is currently back in the country after finding it hard to accept his club’s decision because the offer would have been a club record transfer fee for Elfsborg.
Ouma has one goal and one assist in 21 games in his new role as a central midfielder for his team and helped them qualify for the group stage of the UEFA Europa League.
