Harambee Stars right back Clarke Oduor was on the scoresheet as Bradford City beat Mansfield Town 3-0 on Tuesday night to advance to the next round of the EFL Trophy competition.

Oduor who started the match on the bench was to see his side take a third-minute lead through Olivier before Pointon doubled their lead in the 26th minute as the visitors raced to a 2-0 lead at halftime.

The Kenyan was introduced with ten minutes remaining on the clock and was to add the cherry on top of the cake with a third goal for his side in stoppage time after being put through by Cook.

Oduor will be hoping for the same outing and more playing time when they host AFC Wimbledon in League Two on Saturday as they aim to climb up the table; their opponents are currently just two points above them in the table.

On the same Tuesday, Harambee Stars prospect Zech Obiero was withdrawn in the 72nd minute as Leyton Orient went 3-1 down to Premier League side Brentford.

Visitors Orient had taken a surprising lead in the 11th minute through Cooper but Fabio Fabio Carvalho restored parity in the 17th minute before Damsgaard gave them a lead nine minutes later. Norgaard then added a third in the 45th minute with all the goals being assisted by Carvalho.
