Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has tonight provided an update on the wellbeing of star attacker Kylian Mbappé.

This comes, for those who may have missed it after Mbappé set pulses racing across the Real fanbase a short time ago.

Los Blancos marked their return to action on Tuesday evening, playing host to Deportivo Alavés in a La Liga clash. When all was said and done, despite a late scare, the reigning Spanish champions emerged 3-2 victors, owing to the goals of Lucas Vázquez, Kylian Mbappé and Rodrygo.

As alluded to above, though, on an otherwise positive night’s work for Real Madrid, one source of concern was also forthcoming on the personnel front. As much came late in proceedings, upon Kylian Mbappé signalling to the hosts’ bench, to request a substitution.

Speaking to the media post-match, it therefore came as little surprise when boss Ancelotti was quickly drawn on whether his star frontman has picked up an injury.

Real’s headmaster, however, assured that: “Kylian Mbappé is fine. He’s a bit tired, asked for the substitution to avoid risk.
