Harambee Stars winger Timothy Ouma scored and assisted in his debut in the UEFA Europa League where they went 3-2 down to Dutch side AZ on Wednesday night.

Ouma had given the visitors a 23rd-minute lead with a thunderbolt but van Bommel had other ideas as he ensured that the half arrived with both teams tied at 1-1 following his goal in the 44th minute.

The player was to give the hosts the lead five minutes after resumption but Ouma was to turn provider as they restored parity three minutes later when he laid the ball for Hedlund. The hosts were to pop up with what proved to be the winner in the 74th minute when Parrott converted a penalty.

Ouma who was booked in the 59th minute will now shift attention to the league where they will be up against Kalmar in their next tie in the Allsvenskan.

On the same day, Stanley Wilson was left on the bench as AIK recorded a 1-0 win over Sirius in the Allsvenskan with the same fate befalling Josephat Lopago who could only watch from the bench and Naftan and Neman Grodno fought to a goalless draw in the Belarus Premier league.

In South Africa, defender Brian Onyango was also unused as Stellenbosch fought to a goalless draw against Cape Town City in the Dstv Premiership.
