Yanga SC has issued a formal demand letter to Simba SC’s Communications Officer, Ahmed Ally, requiring him to pay Tzs.10 Billion in damages following two controversial statements.

The claims involve comments about Yanga’s midfielder Pacome Zouzoua’s contract situation and allegations of witchcraft.

Ally is accused of making statements regarding Pacome Zouzoua’s contract status, claiming the player’s deal with Yanga had ended and that Simba was considering signing him. His remarks reportedly included damaging insinuations that tarnished Yanga’s image and reputation among its partners.

Ally allegedly stated: “Pacome’s contract with Yanga has ended. If we find him suitable, we will pursue him. He has no plans to renew his contract as he’s tired of daily injections as if they are preventing pregnancy.”

He went on to say that Simba would assess Zouzoua’s performance and decide whether to sign him or not, adding: “If he continues performing poorly, we will leave him, just like we let Chama go. We mention names directly; no codes here.”

Yanga SC claims these remarks have damaged their brand and caused harm to their partnerships.

In addition to the statements about Zouzoua, Ahmed Ally is accused of insinuating that Yanga practices witchcraft. Yanga SC has demanded evidence to substantiate these claims, emphasizing that the club has never faced disciplinary action from any governing body over such allegations.

In the letter, Yanga SC has outlined two key demands for Ahmed Ally to address within five days:

1. Issue a public apology: The apology must be delivered through the same channels he used to make the controversial remarks.

2. Compensate TZS 10 billion: This amount is intended to cover damages allegedly caused by his statements.

Failure to meet these demands, Yanga SC warns, will result in further legal action.
