Gabriel grabbed his leg while running back before falling to the floor with a hamstring issue. He was replaced by Jakub Kiwior in the 16th minute. Timber took a knock to his knee in the first half, but managed to play on until the 77th minute when he was subbed off for Leandro Trossard.

Arsenal host Real in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final in a week’s time, but could be very light on defensive options. Riccardo Calafiori sustained an injury over the international break, Takehiro Tomiyasu is out for the rest of the year, and Ben White missed the Fulham game with a niggle.
