Tanzania giants Simba SC have begun talks with Uganda Cranes captain at the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) Allan Okello.
Okello has been a revelation for Uganda in the ongoing CHAN competition where he has bagged two goals and one assist and according to Kawowo Sports, the player could leave Vipers once the tournament is over.

“Tanzania Giants Simba SC has expressed its interest in Allan Okello in the ongoing transfer window,” the tabloid noted. “The talks are currently in the early stages as the club plans to bid for the forward who had an excellent 2024/25 season and later showcased impressive form in the National team.”
Okello is one of the most coveted players in the Uganda Premier League having scored 20 goals in all competitions last season for Vipers as they went on to clinch the league title.
The player who started his career at KCCA FC had a brief stint with Algerian side Paradou AC but things didn’t turn out as he planned. He has been in the books of Vipers since September 2023 and has less than a year left on his deal.
Simba are currently on the market for players as they seek to wrestle the Tanzania Premier League from rivals Yanga and do better in continental assignments.
