Tusker FC striker Henry Meja has been one of the best performers in the Kenyan Premier League in the just-concluded season and it was just a matter of time since he was going to be linked with a move.

The Kakamega High School alumni managed 12 goals in the entire season and have been linked with a move to various clubs outside Kenya. While there have been links with clubs in Europe, his agent Jamal Ibrahim in an exclusive interview with Pepeta confirmed that the player had received a serious offer from a South African club which he has since blocked.

“He (Meja) has had a good season and we have received various offers for him. There was a deal from a top club in South Africa but we have blocked it since I don’t think it suited the player,” Jamal said.

The agent however confirmed that the player will be moving to Europe soon with his destination still kept secret.

“We are working on something and he should be leaving for Europe soon because we believe he is ripe for a move there. When everything is sorted you will be the first people to know,” Jamal concluded.

Meja who featured for the Kenya U23 team in the just concluded CECAFA has been included in the latest Harambee Stars squad for AFC Leopards striker Elvis Rupia.
