Harambee Stars will miss the services of striker Masud Juma in their 2020 World Cup doubleheader against Mali next month.
Juma has been an integral part of the Stars team in recent games but has rarely featured in his preferred position due to the presence of captain Michael Olunga in the team; the former Kariobangi Sharks guy always forced to play from the wing.

The player will however sit out of the games against Mali due to a hamstring injury picked on club duty last week as confirmed by his club; the news coming after he missed their weekend’s 2-1 win over Agadir.
“This report about the striker Masud Juma. The striker had a muscle rupture at his femur during the first match against Olympic Safi.
“And after confirming the diagnosis, the club announce that the player will undergoe treatment and will be absent for a period about three or four weeks,” a statement from the club noted.
Masud started the season with a bang after scoring the all-important goal in Difaa’s 1-0 win over Olympic Safi in their league opener and new coach Firat Engen had hoped that the player was available for his first matches in charge.
The Turkish himself confirmed in his unveiling on Sunday that he had to look for options for Juma as he seek to help Kenya qualify for the World showpiece in a group that has Mali, Uganda, and Rwanda.
