“Collins (Shichenje) isn’t playing because he is not yet in Sweden. He is still in the country working on his work permit which we hope we will get soon,” Ibrahim told Pepeta.

Shichenje star has been rising since he joined AFC Leopards in 2019. After an unsuccessful stint with the Greek side PAOK, he returned to Leopards this season before sealing the AIK deal.

He was to make his national team debut on March 13, 2021, Shichenje when Harambee Stars hosted South Sudan (1-0) at Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi.

Shichenje is the latest player to join AIK courtesy of Jamal through Atotos Sports Agency with the others in the team including Eric Ouma and Henry Meja; the latter is yet to make his league debut for the side too.
