Gor Mahia won their second successive game of the new season with a hard fighting 2-1 win over Bidco United in a FKF Premier League game staged at the Thika Sub County Stadium on Saturday.

Mahia had arrived in the game on a back of a narrow win over Nzoia Sugar FC and needed to prove that the win wasn’t just a fluke they did just that when Benson Omala, who scored their lone goal in the opening week, gave them an 11th-minute lead.

George Odhiambo was to double their lead in the 54th minute with the hosts getting a consolation deep in stoppage time thanks to an Ezekiel Okare penalty.

On other matches of the day, Sofapaka’s search for their maiden win of the season continued as they were held to a scoreless draw by Posta Rangers who were playing their first match of the season with the same scoreline being recorded in the match between Nzoia Sugar FC and Bandari FC at Sudi Grounds.
