Despite winning all their last three games, Nzoia Sugar FC head coach Salim Babu has warned his charges to be on alert when they meet Mathare United in week six of the FKF Premier League action.
Nzoia travels to Nairobi to face a Mathare United side who will be participating in their first game of the season and despite much not said about their side, Babu feels the 2009 Kenyan Premier League champions will be out to prove a point.
“Last season wasn’t a good one for them but then again they have another chance to show what they can do. Its hard to predict how they will show up since they haven’t been in action so that would be a tough game but we will have to stick with our game plan,” Babu said after their win against City Stars.

Asked if he thought they could carry the same form through the season, Babu insisted that his aim was to finish as high as possible in the first leg so as to play with less pressure in the second half of the season.
“The first leg is always key in the season and my aim is to finish it strongly. We have started well and I want us to continue this way through the season. It is something possible because I believe I have the squad to get me the needed results,” he added.
On the penalty awarded against City Stars, Babu opined: “It was a clear penalty so his (Nicholas Muyoti) claim that it was dubious doesn’t count. He was too far away from the action and bet he didn’t see what happened. That apart, his players were always over the referee in the entire game about different calls.”
Nzoia are currently placed third with ten points; two below leaders Tusker FC who have played a game less.
