Vihiga Bullets head coach George Owoko was impressed by his charges’ output despite going 2-1 down to Posta Rangers in their first game of the season.

Bullets was one of the three teams whose start to the league was derailed by the impasses brought about by the relegation and demotion of teams in the top flight but after Football Kenya Federation got an injunction, they were to get off last week; other teams being Wazito FC and Mathare United.

While they went down, Owoko told Pepeta that he was impressed by his side’s display and it was just a matter of time before they started conjuring wins.

“The fact that we scored is a plus for me. I’m still new in this environment so my philosophy of playing beautiful football will take time to be implemented but I’m happy at how they have adapted to my demands. We created eight chances in the game (against Rangers) but only converted one which means that if we can create more we will score goals,” Owoko said.

The tactician had no problem whatsoever with the officiating in their first game and said they were ready for their next game which will be against league leaders Tusker FC.

“The officiating was superb and I don’t have any complaints to note. Our concentration now is on our next game against Tusker and even though not so many people are giving us a chance, football is a game played on the pitch. I know they are a good side but they will have to fight for the points just like us,” he added.
