FKF Premier League side Kakamega Homeboyz has parted ways with head coach John Baraza the club has confirmed.

Homeboyz has lost two games on the trot with their latest coming against Bandari, an outing that has left them in seventh place. According to their chairman Cleophas Shimanyula, Technical Director Edard Manoah will be taking over the team on a temporary basis.

“We have made changes to the technical bench and with immediate effect, the Technical Director Edward Manoah and Goalkeeper Trainer John Waw will be in charge of the team on a temporary basis. The rest will step aside,” Shimanyula said.

“This is due to the string of poor results we have been recording. I assure fans that plenty of positive changes are on the way and we will start winning matches soon. I ask that they be patient for a while.

“I have also asked the players to step up because they too should shoulder some blame. Otherwise, those that do not will also be on the way out.”

Baraza was handed the reigns of the team in October last year after the departure of Bernard Mwalala to Ulinzi Stars with the former Mara FC Sugar given Peter Okidi as his assistant; the latter also now leaving his role.
