Nzoia Sugar FC had to come from behind twice to hold leaders Gor Mahia to a 2-2 draw in an FKF Premier League top-of-the-table clash staged at the Sudi Grounds on Wednesday 8th March 2023.
Gor came into the game with a four-point lead at the top of the table and looked to extend it to seven and things pointed to this aim when Austin Odhiambo gave them a third-minute lead in enemies territory and they did just well to maintain the lead until in the dying minutes of the first half when the hosts restored parity through Ian Karani.

With both sides trying to get the better of each other, Gor was to turn to Benson Omala once again a minute after the hour mark when they won a penalty which the striker tucked in for his 18th goal of the season but Nzoia were not going to go down easily and had a penalty of their own nine minutes from time which James Kibande converted.

Vihiga Bullets will still stay at the foot of the table after going 0-1 down to Posta Rangers in a game staged at Bukhungu with Eric Mata boosting Tusker’s chances in their title defence quest as his goal earned the brewers all the points in their duel at Ruaraka against Bandari FC.
