AFC Leopards’ unbeaten run came to an end following their 0-1 loss at the hands of Mathare United on Sunday afternoon in the FKF Premier League.

Leopards came into the game looking to extend their unbeaten streak to 11 games in which they had failed to concede in their last 9 encounters but were wary of a Mathare side who had won four of their last six games.

While the game ended square in the first half, Mathare was to come with what proved to be the winner in the 71st minute through Chris Owino who blasted the ball home from close range after the Levis Opiyo had parried a Curtis Wekesa ball into his path.

In other games of the day, Kakamega Homeboyz were made to pay for their missed penalty as they went 0-1 down visiting Police FC at the Bukhungu Stadium.

Homeboyz had won penalty minutes to the half-time break when Kevin Amwayi was brought down in the box but Karamor who was handed the opportunity to increase his goal tally was denied by Job Ochieng in the Police goal. Duke Abuya saved the best for the last as he was to notch the all-important goal via a free kick two minutes from time.

Gor Mahia extended their lead at the top of the table to five points after dispatching Bidco United 1-0 at Nyayo Stadium with Benson Omala scoring his 19th goal of the season in the tie.

Wazito FC fought to a goalless draw against visiting Vihiga Bullets on a day that Kariobangi Sharks and Bandari FC won their games against KCB and Nzoia Sugar FC respectively.
