FKF Premier League leaders Gor Mahia will be taking on Tanzania side Azam FC in a friendly match on Sunday 26th March at Nyayo Stadium from 9 am.

Both sides will be using the match to keep their side fit in the International window where the respective national teams will be in action.
Tanzania is currently gearing up for their African Cup of Nations Qualifier double header against Uganda with Kenya set to face Iran in a friendly game next week.

In a statement, Azam revealed that they will be up against Zanzibar’s JKU before traveling to Kenya for the Gor friendly.
“Azam FC is expected to travel to Nairobi, Kenya on Friday 24th March 2023 to play a friendly game against our hosts Gor Mahia. The game will be played at Nyayo Stadium on March 26th from 9 am.

Before traveling to Nairobi, the team has planned another friendly game against JKU of Zanzibar at the Azam Complex on March 22 from 7 pm. When the national team is on duty, our tea will continue with their normal preparations at the Azam Complex,” the statement from Azam noted.

Azam is home to former Gor Mahia captain Kenneth Muguna who is currently in the Harambee Stars camp and is currently placed fourth in the Tanzania Premier League table with 47 points after 25 games. Gor on the other hand sits at the top of the FKF Premier League table with 42 points after 20 games.
