AFC Leopards goalkeeper Levis Opiyo is among four players dropped by head coach Engin Firat as he continues to prepare his team for this month’s friendly against Iran.

Opiyo was among the four goalkeepers called in the initial 30-man provisional squad with his departure leaving Patrick Matsi, Ian Otieno, and Bryne Odhiambo to fight for the number one spot in the team.

Apart from Opiyo, Firat released the Nzoia Sugar FC duo of Joseph Mwangi and Hassan Beja with KCB defender Maurice Ojwang also being dropped from the group after the arrival of the foreign-based defenders that include new call-up Daniel Anyembe and Brian Mandela.

The squad is expected to be trimmed further before the end of the week as more players based in Europe arrive.
