Benson Omala scored a brace as Gor Mahia beat bandari FC 2-1 in an FKF Premier League game staged at Mbaraki on Wednesday afternoon.

Buoyed by their win against Kariobangi Sharks over the weekend, Gor came to the game knowing well that anything other than a win would be detrimental for their title quest with Tusker FC having been in a good run of form. While the teams went for the half time break without a goal, Omala was to open the scoring proceedings in the 48th minute before adding a second eight minutes after the hour mark.

Andrew Juma pulls a goal back against his former employers 15 minutes for a tensed finish but Gor were able to hold on for the three points that maintains their lead at the top of the tale.

In other games of the day, Elvis Rupia scored a brace as Police FC ran 4-2 winners over Nairobi City Stars in a clash staged at the Police Pavilion.

Derrick Otanga had opened the scoring in the 13th minute but City Stars restored parity fro for a 1-1 draw at half time. Rupia gave the hosts a lead two minutes after resumption Miheso adding a third on the hour mark. Rupia grabbed his brace three minutes later and Police FC;’s fourth in the matchwihth Ezekiel o ensuring the scoreline was respectful with another goal in stoppage time.

Another brace of the day was scored by Joseph Mwagi in Nzoia Sugar FC 3-0 win over Wazito FC in Muhoroni; the other goal of the game scored by Yasin Seje. Rodgers Ouma was another brace scorer in Tusker FC’s 2-0 win over Mathare United.
