Sofapaka FC ended their eight-game winless streak with a hard-fought 3-2 win over Vihiga Bullets in the FKF Premier League on Tuesday.

The David Ouma side came to the match after a heartbreaking loss to Ulinzi Stars in the FKF Cup and their woes were compounded when Joseph Oyugi reacted quickly to a rebound by keeper Kevin Omondi to tap the opener. Sebastien Sunday however ensured that the teams went to the halftime break on 1-1 scores after heading in a Ben Stanley cross on the 45th minute.

Bullets who have been the weeping boys for the better part of the campaign failed to give up on the tie and regained their lead three minutes after resumption but Roddy Manga once again put Sofapaka leveled with a well-taken goal on the hour mark.

Ben Stanley then tore the home side defense apart before slotting past the keeper ten minutes later in what proved to be the winner in the game.

The three points now see Sofapaka rise to 12th with 31 points after 27 games with Bullets remaining rooted at the bottom with eight points after 28 games.
