In other matches of the day, Ojo Olaniyi was the hero for AFC Leopards in their 1-0 win over ten-man Nzoia Sugar who are still in the title contention having accumulated 57 points in the season.

The highest goalscoring match of the season was witnessed in Mbaraki where Bandari FC whitewashed Vihiga Bullets 7-2 in Twahir Muhiddin’s second game in charge.

Abdallah Hassan, Umaru Kasumba and Enock Machaka each scored braces with William Wadri adding the other in a one-sided affair that killed any hopes of Vihiga Bullets of staying afloat this season with the team now expected to head straight back to the National Super League.
