FKF Premier League side Nzoia Sugar FC has confirmed that head coach Salim Babu and midfielder Kevin Juma have left the club.
Babu who led the sugar millers to a fourth-place finish in the just concluded season has been linked with a move to Police FC where he is expected to deputize Francis Baraza. Apart from Babu, the club also confirmed that they have released midfielder Kevin Juma who is set to sign for Champions Gor Mahia.

In a statement, Nzoia noted: “Our Head coach SALIM BABU has terminated his contract with the club & is set to join the coaching team of Kenya Police FC. The club has also released midfielder Kelvin Juma who is set to join Gor Mahia on a four-year contract as a free agent.”
The duo is just two of the many players expected to leave Nzoia in this window as a chunk of their players have been linked with moves owing to the financial constraints of the team.

Babu has been hailed for doing a perfect job with Nzoia who recorded 18 wins in the season; an outing only bettered by Gor Mahia and Tusker FC who finished first and second respectively. They only lost two home games the entire season and picked ten wins away from home; the second-best record in the league.
He joins Police who finished with the same number of points as them but had a better goal difference.
Juma’s move to Gor Mahia has been necessitated by the urge of playing continental football with the player having been quoted by tabloids that his main dream was to have a recall to the national team, Harambee Stars and feel that a move to Mahia will guarantee this.
